RESUMO

Objective:To simulate the biomechanical characteristics of the real human thoracic cavity with a multi-spring group variable damping structure, and to design a new cardiopulmonary resuscitation training manikin based on the simulated thoracic biomechanical characteristics combined with the original electronic feedback system, and to test its application effect in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) teaching. Methods:A total of 60 undergraduate students majoring in five-year clinical medicine of Batch 2019 in Naval Medical University were selected as the research objects and were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 30 students in each group. The control group used the traditional manikin for CPR training, and the experimental group used the new type of manikin for CPR training based on the control group. After the training, the two groups of personnel were assessed for single skill. The single skill was mainly manual CPR operations, including artificial respiration and chest compressions. The theory and skill operation assessment of CPR and satisfaction for teaching method in the two groups were compared. SPSS 23.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results:The students in the experimental group scored (54.33±3.09) points in the single skill operation assessment, which were significantly better than that of the students in the control group [(52.33±3.08) points], and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The follow-up questionnaire showed that the students in the experimental group had a better evaluation of the teaching and training effect of the new type of manikin. Conclusion:Compared with the traditional manikin, the new CPR manikin can simulate the CPR emergency scene of the real human body, which can effectively improve the CPR teaching effect of standardized training for medical students, and help the standardization, normalization, and popularization of CPR technology in China.

RESUMO

Natural products, as a gift of nature to humanity, have long been used as drugs or pharmacological actives to help people cure various diseases. Yet we still know comparatively little about their ability to be materials. In recent years, some small molecule natural products isolated from traditional Chinese medicines have been found to have new features, namely, self-assembly to form gels (., natural product gels, NPG). However, the application development of these natural products is seriously lacking, which greatly weakens their practical value and delays the maturity of the field. Here, a series of self-assembled triterpenoid natural products are used as materials (gel scaffolds) to construct drug delivery systems. Surprisingly, these NPG not only exhibit the excellent self-healing, controlled gelation, good safety and sustained release, but also achieve synergistic treatment of tumors through bioactive natural products. Compared with non-bioactive gel scaffolds, NPG scaffolds show great advantages in tumor therapy, including optimal tumor inhibition, preferable health, better body recovery, stronger immune function, less toxic side effects and longer survival. The successful construction of NPG scaffolds not only takes full advantage of the self-assembled natural products, but also takes an important step in the development of new applications for natural products.

RESUMO

Objective To explore the feasibility and safety of carotid artery stenting (CAS) via right transradial approach (TRA).Methods A retrospective analysis was made on 46 cases undergoing the CAS via right TRA.Patients were divided into the right carotid artery group (RCA),bovine left carotid artery group (B-LCA),nonbovine carotid artery group (NB-LCA) according to the lesion location.Low TRA or high TRA were selected to overcome the difficulties of insufficient supporting power, using techniques such as catheter looping and retrograde engagement technique(CLRET).Results CAS were successful in all cases (100%),the differences of the operation time and fluoroscopy time among RCA group,B-LCA group and NB-LCA group were not significant. In NB-LCA group,CLRET were applied in 10 cases (55.56%,10/18),includeing 8 cases with type Ⅲ aortic arch(100%,8/8)and 2 cases with type Ⅱ aortic arch (33.33%,2/6).The CLRET prolonged the operation time and fluoroscopy time [(39.45 ±7.27) min vs.(30.80±4.66) min;(11.84 ± 2.05) min vs.(9.91 ± 1.45) min,P <0.05).There was no cerebrovascular events and puncture point complications in perioperative period. Conclusion Right transradial approach for carotid artery stenting is safe and technically feasible, especially in RCA stenosis and LCA stenosis with type Ⅰ or Ⅱ aortic arch.

RESUMO

To develop a new more accurate spectrophotometric method for detecting monoamine oxidase inhibitors from plant extracts, a series of amine substrates were selected and their ability to be oxidized by monoamine oxidase was evaluated by the HPLC method and a new substrate was used to develop a peroxidase-linked spectrophotometric assay. 4-[Trifluoromethyl] benzylamine [11] was proved to be an excellent substrate for peroxidase-linked spectrophotometric assay. Therefore, a new peroxidase-linked spectrophotometric assay was set up. The principle of the method is that the MAO converts 11 into aldehyde, ammonia and hydrogen peroxide. In the presence of peroxidase, the hydrogen peroxide will oxidize 4-aminoantipyrine into oxidised 4-aminoantipyrine which can condense with vanillic acid to give a red quinoneimine dye. The production of the quinoneimine dye was detected at 490 nm by a microplate reader. The delta[OD] value between the blank group and blank negative control group in this new method is twice as much as that in Holt's method, which enables the procedure to be more accurate and avoids the produce of false positive results. The new method will be helpful for researchers to screening monoamine oxidase inhibitors from deep-color plant extracts

RESUMO

Objective To discuss the feasibility, safety and validity of the use of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent in endovascular repair of peripheral traumatic pseudoaneurysm (TPA). Methods During the period from June 2012 to April 2014, a total of 8 patients with peripheral TPA were admitted to the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital . The clinical data were retrospective analyzed. The lesions were located at the common carotid artery (n=4), vertebral artery (n=1), subclavian artery (n=1) and superficial femoral artery (n=2). On the basis of acute and chronic TPA classification and different therapeutic principles, endovascular repair with ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent was employed in 8 patients. Intraoperative angiographic findings, the size and number of the implanted stent, and the immediate angiographic results after stent implantation were recorded. All the patients were followed up to evaluate the improvement of the symptoms, the effectiveness of the repair of TPA cavity, and the occurrence of endoleak or restenosis. Results Successful implantation of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent was accomplished in all 8 patients, with a technical success rate of 100%. Angiography performed immediately after stent implantation showed that complete repair of TPA cavity was obtained in all patients, the distal segment of the parent artery was patent, and no endoleak was observed. The sizes of the stent used in the patients were 8×50 mm (n=2) and 9×50 mm (n=2) in common carotid artery, 6×50 mm (n=1) in vertebral artery, 11×100 mm (n=1) in subclavian artery, and 8×100 mm (n=2) in superficial femoral artery. The patients were followed up for 6-30 months (mean of 14.3 months), and the clinical symptoms disappeared in all patients. CT angiography indicated that there was no endoleak or restenosis. Conclusion Based on the different therapeutic principles, the use of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent in endovascular repair of peripheral TPA is technically simple and micro-invasive, and clinically feasible with reliable effect and safety. Therefore, this technique can be employed as a first-line therapy option for peripheral TPA.
